Info. Minister: private sector a key partner in tourism

KUWAIT, Nov 24 (KUNA) -- Minister of Information, Culture, and Minister of State for Youth Affairs Abdulrahman Al-Mutairi affirmed Monday that the private sector is a key partner in developing the country's tourism system, stressing that this partnership is among the most important the ministry seeks to establish within a clear strategy.
Minister Al-Mutairi made this statement, while chairing the meeting of the Higher Committee for Tourism at the Regency Hotel. He explained that during its previous meeting, the committee discussed a number of important points and activities, which are being incorporated into a clear vision to ensure their proper implementation and follow-up.
Minister Al-Mutairi emphasized that all upcoming events must be organized at a high professional level, offering high-quality content that meets tourism standards and provides a distinguished experience for visitors. He noted that those interested in these events will find announcements, scheduled dates, and venues on the "Visit Kuwait" platform.
The meeting also discussed the importance of aligning the country's transportation network with Kuwait's tourism vision, particularly through promoting the use of specialized electronic applications for passenger transport.
In addition, the meeting addressed items from previous sessions, early coordination for National Day celebrations and accompanying activities, and the importance of private sector participation in these events. (end) mdm.ahs
