Ukrainian Pres.: Next steps to be based on outcomes of Geneva talks

GENEVA, Nov 24 (KUNA) -- Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said on Monday that Kyiv would outline its next steps based on the agreements to be reached in the multilateral talks in Geneva.
In a post on his X account, Zelenskyy reaffirmed that Ukraine will continue coordinating with Europe and other partners around the world expressing hope on achieving the necessary results.
He reported that the delegation is returning to Kyiv and that he expects a full briefing this evening on the progress made in Geneva and on the key priorities emphasized by Ukraine's partners.
Geneva hosted on Sunday a new round of talks between the United States and Ukraine to discuss US President Donald Trump's proposal aimed at establishing a framework to end the Russia-Ukraine war.
The talks included US Secretary of State Marco Rubio Special Envoy to President Trump Steve Witkoff and Secretary of Defense Dania Driscoll and Head of the Ukrainian Presidential Office Andriy Yermak along with National Security and Defense Council Secretary Rustem Umerov.
Both sides described the consultations as "highly productive." According to a joint US-Ukraine statement the discussions showed significant progress in aligning positions and defining concrete next steps. The parties reaffirmed that any future agreement must fully respect Ukraine's sovereignty and ensure a stable and just peace.
Following the talks they prepared a revised and refined peace framework document. (end) imk.gb
