By Alaa Al-Baanoun KUWAIT, Nov 24 (KUNA) -- The Central Agency for Information Technology (CAIT) signed a memorandum of understanding on Monday with SAP Middle East and North Africa to enhance cooperation in knowledge transfer, technology localization, and the development of national talent in Kuwait's information technology sector.
Acting Director General of CAIT, Najat Ibrahim told KUNA that the agreement aims to strengthen the skills of government-sector employees through specialized technical training programs offered at no cost. These programs focus on advanced technologies that support Kuwait's digital transformation initiatives.
Ibrahim noted that the MoU also enables government entities to benefit from SAP's cloud services, particularly in financial transactions and human resources management, while training modules will cover artificial intelligence and innovation-driven solutions.
She said 30 employees are currently enrolled in the training, with the number expected to grow as the program expands to include additional government bodies, emphasizing the agency's commitment to building sustainable national expertise aligned with the Kuwait's long-term development goals.
The signing took place on the sidelines of SAP's Innovation Day forum, attended by Minister of State for Communications Omar Al-Omar, German Ambassador Hans-Christian Freiherr von Reibnitz, and leading technology experts and decision-makers.
SAP is a Germany-based multinational company specializing in enterprise software, cloud solutions, and technical support services for financial, HR, and project management operations. (pickup previous) ayb.dss
