KUWAIT, Nov 24 (KUNA) -- The NATO and the Istanbul Cooperation Initiative (ICI) Regional Center Monday launched a training course entitled "Building Integrity in Operations", in cooperation with the Combined Allied Forces Command in Naples.
Twenty-two trainees from all Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries joined the training course.
Addressing the course, Director of the NATO-ICI Regional Center Emad Al-Kandari said the center's hosting of this course at its headquarters in Kuwait reflected its role as a significant partner within the framework of the ICI.
He added that the training course is meant to promote the principles of integrity, transparency and accountability in military and civilian operations through a training program that combines interactive lectures and deliberations about lessons learnt and how to improve performance, promote successful experiences and intensify relevant expertise in a practical manner that can be used as a guide.
Al-Kandari underlined the center's commitment to living up to its role in supporting and developing regional capabilities and promoting cooperation with partner countries. (end) ns.mt
