BEIRUT, Nov 20 (KUNA) -- The peacekeeping UN Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) declared on Thursday recording 7,500 air violations and 2,500 land breaches north of the "blue line" since declaring the cessation of hostilities in November last year.
UNFIL said on its X account that it had submitted reports about these breaches to the UN Security Council, noting that the peacekeepers had also located 360 "abandoned arms depots" and called in troops of the Lebanese Army to handle the sites.
The Israeli occupation forces have been breaching the November 27 accord on daily basis. They have maintained occupation of areas inside the Lebanese territories in violation of the UN resolution 1701.
Established in 2000, the "blue line" is a 120km (75-mile) unofficial "border" drawn up by the UN between Lebanon and Israel after withdrawal of the Israeli occupation forces from a strip of land in southern Lebanon . (end) fz.rk
