Kuwaiti athlete wins taekwondo bronze at Qatar Open '25

DOHA, Nov 15 (KUNA) -- Ghala Al-Assaf, of Kuwait national team, on Saturday won the bronze medal of the 59+ kg. female juniors' event of the Fifth Qatar Taekwondo Open Championships 2025.
In the clubs category, Ahmad AL-Mutarir, of Al-Nasr SC, won a similar medal in the U-57 kg male juniors' event.
The championship, being organized by Qatar Taekwondo, Judo and Karate Federation between November 14 and 17 at Lusail hall, Doha, gathered 1,361 participants, including 1,021 athletes and 289 administrative staff, representing 175 clubs and national teams from 48 countries. (end) sss.gb
