Minister of Information and Culture and Minister of State for Youth Affairs Abdulrahman Al-Mutairi and Kuwait Airways Chairman Abdulmohsen Al-Fagaan
KUWAIT, Nov 13 (KUNA) -- Minister of Information and Culture and Minister of State for Youth Affairs Abdulrahman Al-Mutairi inaugurated Thursday the "Kuwait Unites Us" event at Al-Shaheed Park as part of "Kuwait Capital of Arab Culture" activities.
The event, which last until November 22nd, is organized by the Ministry of Information in cooperation with the national carrier Kuwait Airways with the participation of several Arab embassies in Kuwait.
In statements to reporters at the event's launch, Minister Al-Mutairi emphasized that "Kuwait Unites Us" reflects Kuwait's commitment to strengthening Arab cultural and media ties and solidifying Kuwait's position as a leading cultural and media hub.
It highlights the rich diversity of Arab culture and serves as a platform to showcase the unity of Arab cultural identity and its civilizational influences, he elaborated.
Minister Al-Mutairi stressed that the event embodies the role of culture and media in fostering rapprochement between Arab peoples.
It shows Kuwait's commitment to strengthening its cultural and media relations with Arab countries and building bridges of dialogue between Arab cultures, he said.
For his part, Kuwait Airways Chairman Abdulmohsen Al-Fagaan said that Kuwait Airways' participation in organizing the event stems from its commitment to supporting the state's comprehensive development plans, in line with the "Kuwait 2035" vision, which aims to enhance Kuwait's standing at both the regional and international levels.
Al-Fagaan said that it also reflects Kuwait Airways' national role and responsibility in supporting major events that showcase Kuwait's culture and heritage.
He noted that his company dedicated all its expertise and logistical capabilities to ensure the success of this event, in addition to providing the necessary facilities for participating delegations, thus guaranteeing an event befitting Kuwait's status as the Capital of Arab Culture and Media for 2025.
The event features a wide participation from the embassies of Gulf and Arab countries. Each embassy presents a special pavilion showcasing its historical and heritage artifacts.
During the event, Al Shaheed Park theater hosts daily folkloric performances from 7:30 PM to 9:30 PM, showcasing the richness of Arab cultural heritage and the artistic diversity that characterizes Arab societies. (end)
