Kuwait Airways and Boubyan Bank sign cooperation protocol to enhance services and operational efficiency
KUWAIT, Oct 29 (KUNA) - Kuwait Airways Company (KAC) signed on Wednesday a cooperation protocol with Boubyan Bank aimed at developing bilateral relations and enhancing the operational efficiency of services provided to customers of both entities.
KAC Chairman Abdulmohsen Al-Faqaan said in a press statement that the protocol includes the exchange of technical expertise, expansion of service offerings, and diversification of customer options in a way that contributes to the overall development of the aviation sector and improves operational systems for both parties.
Al-Faqaan added that the agreement also outlines ways to strengthen joint cooperation in loyalty programs, sponsorships, awareness campaigns, and various events, in addition to supporting technological systems and enhancing banking services and facilities.
He noted that Boubyan Bank has a large customer base of joint cardholders under the Oasis Club membership program, adding that the signing of this protocol will further enhance the services provided to them and grant them a wider range of benefits.
Al-Faqaan emphasized Kuwait Airways' belief that expanding cooperation with Boubyan Bank will have a positive impact on both sides, expressing his hope that this step will yield fruitful results that strengthen the standing of both institutions, serve their customers, and meet their growing needs and expectations, turning this partnership into a true value-added collaboration.
He stressed that the company attaches great importance to strengthening ties with leading national institutions and building bridges of cooperation, considering this partnership an important milestone in broadening its collaboration with both public and private sector entities. Such efforts, he said, help achieve integration among vital sectors in the country and reflect a shared commitment to providing distinguished services that enhance the customer experience and support the national economy.
Al-Faqaan expressed his appreciation to all relevant departments at Boubyan Bank for their efforts in finalizing the protocol.
For his part, Abdullah Al-Tuwaijri, Chief Executive Officer for Private, Personal, and Digital Banking Services at Boubyan Bank, said in a similar statement that this agreement marks the beginning of larger long-term initiatives aimed at enhancing customer benefits and developing joint service pathways between the two sides.
He added that this cooperation comes within Boubyan Bank's commitment to strengthening national partnerships that support sustainable development and Kuwait's future vision.
Al-Tuwaijri explained that the partnership with Kuwait Airways began through the Boubyan Rewards Program and the prepaid Oasis Club card, noting that through this collaboration, both sides will continue developing innovative banking solutions and advanced experiences that connect the worlds of travel and finance, providing customers with exclusive benefits and smoother, more distinguished experiences.

Founded in 1953 as a private company under the name "Kuwait National Airways Ltd.", Kuwait Airways launched its first flight on March 16, 1954, before becoming fully owned by the Government of Kuwait in 1962.
Boubyan Bank was established in 2004 and operates in accordance with Islamic Sharia principles, accepting various types of deposits, offering financing across different terms, and providing a wide range of banking and financial services. (end)
