RAMALLAH, Oct 17 (KUNA) -- Settlers of the Israeli occupation attacked Palestinian farmers who were picking olives in several regions in the West Bank on Friday.
The Palestinian Ministry of Health said in a statement that the emergency ward of the town of Salwad received five farmers who were beaten and injured by the settlers who attacked them while picking the crop in the nearby fields.
A single Palestinian was wounded while picking olives in the village of Farkha, south of Silfit town. He was hospitalized for injuries, according to the official Palestinian news agency, WAFA.
Elsewhere, the settlers attacked farmers in the villages of Aqraba, Qabalan and Qasra south of Nablus. Meanwhile, the Israeli occupation troops held a number of farmer and journalists at gunpoint the plain of Ramin village. (end)
