BEIRUT, Oct 11 (KUNA) -- Lebanon's Public Health Ministry said Saturday one was killed and seven others wounded in an Israeli occupation airstrike in southern Lebanon.
Citing the ministry's Emergency Operations Center, the National News Agency (NNA) reported the strike hit Al-Msayleh area, killing a Syrian national and injuring seven people - one Syrian and six Lebanese, including two women.
Additionally, Lebanese President Joseph Aoun condemned the attack, calling it an unprovoked blatant aggression against civilian facilities.
The strike was especially serious because it came after a Gaza ceasefire deal that included steps to contain weapons there, he said.
He questioned whether anyone is trying to shift the conflict to Lebanon and urged applying the Gaza truce framework to Lebanon now that all parties have endorsed it. (end)
