CAIRO, Sept 24 (KUNA) -- Director-General of Kuwait Red Crescent Society (KRCS) Fawaz Al-Mazrouei held talks on Wednesday with officials from the Egyptian Red Crescent (ERC) on delivering urgent humanitarian aid to Palestinians in Gaza.
Al-Mazrouei told KUNA that he met the Executive Director of the Egyptian Red Cresent Dr. Amal Emam to coordinate joint efforts, assess urgent needs, and respond to the escalating humanitarian crisis in the Strip.
The meeting also addressed ways to facilitate the entry of Kuwaiti aid into Gaza, tackling logistical challenges such as storage, transport, and repackaging of relief materials, as well as ensuring aid reaches quickly and efficiently. Talks also covered key requirements for upcoming phases, including food supplies, health needs, and essential relief items for Palestinians.
Al-Mazrouei reaffirmed Kuwait's commitment to supporting Gaza, stressing that cooperation with ERC is crucial to maintaining the steady flow of aid, underlining the importance of cooperation between the two societies as the cornerstone of successful relief work. Both sides agreed to continue joint coordination, set priorities for the coming period, and focus on meeting critical health and food needs under the current difficult conditions.
