Kuwait FM heads delegation to OIC extraordinary ministerial meeting

JEDDAH, Aug 25 (KUNA) -- Kuwaiti Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdullah Al-Yahya led the country's delegation to the extraordinary session of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Council of Foreign Ministers, held Monday at the OIC headquarters in Jeddah.
The meeting reviewed the latest developments of the Palestinian cause and the continuous violations in the Gaza Strip, and addressed the Israeli occupation's escalating aggression against the Palestinian people.
It also discussed ways to bolster joints positions in confronting Israeli occupation plans to occupy the Gaza Strip and impose policies to displace its residents, which poses serious threats to security and stability in the region.
The meeting discussed efforts to bolster unwavering support for the Palestinian people to establish their independent state on the June 4, 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital. (end) fn.sar
