GAZA, Aug 11 (KUNA) -- The Palestinian Ministry of Health said Sunday that 69 people were killed and 362 others injured due to the continued Israeli occupation's aggression on the Gaza Strip, in its 22nd month.
In a statement, the ministry said the overall toll since 7 October 2023, has reached 61,499 deaths and 153,575 injuries.
Since the resumption of hostilities on March 18, following a two-month truce, 9,989 people have been killed and 41,534 injured, the statement added.
It noted that among today's victims were 29 deaths and 127 injuries related to humanitarian aid efforts, raising the total number of "breadline martyrs" to 1,807, with more than 13,021 injuries.
Hospitals in Gaza also recorded five deaths in the past 24 hours due to famine and malnutrition, including one child, bringing the total number of such fatalities to 222, among them 101 children. (end)
