BEIRUT, Aug 7 (KUNA) -- The Lebanese Health Ministry's Public Health Emergency Operations Center announced Thursday that Israeli occupation airstrikes killed one person and injured two in southern Lebanon on Wednesday.
The Center reported that the Israeli occupation airstrike on the town of Deir Siryan, in the Marjeyoun district, resulted in the death of a Syrian and left two others wounded, who were transferred to the hospital for treatment.
The Lebanese National News Agency (NNA) reported Wednesday that Israeli occupation forces carried out a series of violent airstrikes targeting several areas and towns in southern Lebanon, resulting in injuries and significant material losses to property.
The Israeli occupation forces continue their daily violations of the ceasefire agreement in effect since November 27, launching airstrikes and attacks in southern Lebanon, as well as their continued occupation of several areas and border points within Lebanese territory, which violates the UN Security Council Resolution 1701.
