ISLAMABAD, Aug 6 (KUNA) -- At least three soldiers and four militants were killed in a bomb attack on a military vehicle in Pakistan's southwestern Balochistan province.
Terrorists, belonging to "Indian proxy," targeted a security forces' vehicle with an improvised explosive device in Mastung District of Balochistan, a press release by Pakistan military's media wing Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Wednesday.
Three brave sons of soil, including an officer, paid the ultimate sacrifice and embraced martyrdom, according to the statement.
In the ensuing sanitization of the area, four "Indian sponsored terrorists" were located and killed, said ISPR.
"Sanitization operation would continue to eliminate any terrorist present in the area, as the security forces of Pakistan are determined to wipe out the menace of Indian Sponsored Terrorism from the country, and such sacrifices of our brave men further strengthen our resolve," the release concluded.
Prime Minister of Pakistan, Shehbaz Sharif strongly condemned the terrorist attack and paid tribute to the martyrs.
In a statement by the PM Office, the Prime Minister vowed to eliminate the menace of terrorism completely from the country.
The attack comes at a time when Pakistan is witnessing a rise in terror attacks especially in KPK and Balochistan provinces bordering Afghanistan. (end)
