ISTANBUL, Aug 6 (KUNA) -- Turkiye's biotech exports surged to USD 51.9 billion in the first half of 2025, driven by strong demand for medium and high-tech goods, the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) reported Wednesday.
Shipments included aircraft and spacecraft components, weapons and ammunition, medical supplies, computers, and electrical equipment, Anadolu Agency quoted TUIK as saying.
Medium-tech exports alone reached USD 47.5 billion, putting Turkey on track to surpass last year's USD 101.1 billion total for medium and high-tech exports, the statement added. (end)
