MOSCOW, Aug 4 (KUNA) -- The Kremlin said Monday that dialogue between Moscow and Washington remains ongoing, with the US continuing diplomatic efforts regarding the Ukraine file.
In a statement, the Kremlin noted that Russian President Vladimir Putin may meet with US Special Envoy Steve Witkoff as part of bilateral contacts.
Preparations are also underway for a possible meeting between Putin and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, pending the completion of technical arrangements.
The statement reaffirmed Russia's commitment to a political and diplomatic resolution as the best option to end the conflict in Ukraine.
On nuclear issues, the Kremlin emphasized Russia's cautious and responsible stance, calling for prudence in addressing non-proliferation concerns. (end)
