KUWAIT, July 8 (KUNA) -- Kuwait Petroleum International (Q8) commenced Tuesday operations in two of Europe's largest fuel stations; located on a highway in Luxembourg's Berchem.
In a statement to KUNA, Q8 recalled winning the bid for operating the stations earlier this year, calling it a "milestone" for the company.
The dual operation took the number of stations run by Q8 to 40 throughout Luxembourg.
This reinforces the company's commitment to providing comprehensive and ecofriendly services across the European continent.
Q8's CEO, Shafy Al-Ajmy, referred to it as a focal step to accomplishing strategy goals, and expanding global presence through innovative solutions that meet costumer demand.
The company; with full operational control over the stations, is setting out to enhance and modernize work, in reflection of Q8's identity, Al-Ajmy noted.
They are equipped with innovative solutions, improved infrastructure for electric vhiecle charging stattions, as well as renewable diesel for heavy vehicles.
Earlier today, an opening ceremony was held in attendance of various top officials, including Minister of Economy, SMEs, Energy and Tourism, Lex Delles, trade partners, company management and Kuwaiti Ambassador to Belgium and Luxembourg, Nawaf Al-Enezi.
Kuwait Petroleum International was established in 1983 as a subsidiary to Kuwait Petroleum Corporation. It manages a wide network of more than 4,800 fuel station and road services in Europe.
Q8 also supplies more than 82 airports with jet fuel, in addition to manufacturing one of the highest quality engine fuels globally. (end) km.aai
