GCC congratulates Bahraini Sheikha Hessa on UN COPUOS 2nd Vice-Chair election

RIYADH, July 1 (KUNA) -- Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), Jassem Al-Budaiwi, sent Tuesday a congratulatory cable to Sheikha Hessa bint Ali Al-Khalifa on her election as Second Vice-Chair of the United Nations Committee on the Peaceful Uses of Outer Space (COPUOS).
The election took place during the 68th session in the Austrian capital, Vienna.
In his cable, the Secretary General expressed his sincere congratulations to Sheikha Hessa, stressing that this achievement is a source of pride for the Kingdom of Bahrain and the GCC countries.
It also reflects the advanced position attained by Gulf talents, especially Bahraini women who have proven their merit and distinction in various international forums, stated Al-Budaiwi.
