TUNIS, June 16 (KUNA) -- Kuwaiti Paralympic champion Faisal Suroor won a gold medal on Monday in the discus throw, on the first day of the International Para Athletics Grand Prix, held in Tunis from June 16 to 18.
Speaking to KUNA, Nasser Al-Ajmi, head of the Kuwaiti delegation participating in the event, said that this victory is the result of the player's efforts, alongside the efforts of team manager and captain Ahmad Al-Harbi.
Al-Ajmi highlighted that player Faisal Suroor broke the Asian record in discus throw, which was previously held by the Kuwaiti champion.
Kuwait Para Athletics team is fully prepared to participate in the championship, with all athletes in good technical and physical condition after intensive training sessions at the Kuwait Disabled Sports Club, Al-Ajmi added. (end)
