TEHRAN, June 14 (KUNA) -- The Iranian navy said Friday it stopped a British destroyer in the Sea of Oman it said was doing "spying" activities and forced it to change course.
Tasnim news agency said the Iranian navy entered north of the Indian Ocean last night with the objective of directing what it said Israeli occupation missiles against Iranian territories, but it was spotted by the navy.
It said Iranian drones gave direct warnings to the destroyer which prevented it from reaching the Arabian Gulf waters.
The British destroyer was forced to change course, said the navy.
British authorities did not confirm the incident. (end)
