Jordan announces intercepting missiles, drones that entered airspace

AMMAN, June 13 (KUNA) -- Jordanian Armed Forces announced intercepting earlier on Friday a number of missiles and drones that have entered the Jordanian airspace.
The national news agency (PETRA) reported on behalf of a military source that the royal air force planes are operating with high levels of efficiency to protect the safety of the country and its people.
The interception operation came in response to military estimation of the probability of missiles falling on inhabited areas in the country, and affirmed that the Jordanian armed forces are working round the clock to protect the borders of the country whether on land, air or sea.
The source also called on nationals to refrain from spreading rumors as this could cause a state of panic and chaos and urged them to take information from official sources. (end) amn.abk.aai
