Israeli occupation forces launch major military operation in Nablus

RAMALLAH, June 10 (KUAN) -- The Israeli occupation forces stormed the northern West Bank city of Nablus on Tuesday and surrounded the Old City of Nablus, launching what was described as a large-scale military operation expected to last 24 hours.
Eyewitnesses told KUNA that dozens of military vehicles entered the city at dawn, damaging homes and private property and arresting several young men, including former detainees.
The witnesses added that occupation forces converted homes in the Old City into military outposts and raided the Zafir Al-Masri School, conducting extensive searches.
They noted that the operation is the largest in Nablus i years, with significant destruction reported across Old City.
In response to the situation, the local Directorate of Education and An-Najah University announced a suspension of classes and the postponement of exams, public institutions also halted operations to ensure the safety of students and staff.
The occupation media confirmed the start of a military operation targeting what it described as "wanted individuals" in the Old City of Nablus, with special forces participating, and reports indicated that the operation could extend for several hours or even days. (end) nq.dss
