RAMALLAH, June 8 (KUNA) -- Health authorities in Gaza affirmed the death of 108 Palestinians and the injury of 393 others due to the Israeli occupation's continuous bombing of various areas in the Strip during the past 24 hours.
In a press statement, the authorities said that five of the deceased and more than 123 of the injured are of the aiding teams, bringing the number of those who arrived at hospitals from the areas designated for distributing aid up to 115 deaths and more than 1,110 injured.
The statement explained that the toll of the continuous Israeli occupation aggression on the Gaza Strip since the seventh of October 2023 rose to 54,880 deaths and 126,227 injured, while the death toll since March 18 reached 4,603 and 14,186 injured.
The authorities warned in a separate statement on Sunday of fuel shortage in the upcoming hours, that will lead to the shutdown of hospitals, adding that Al-Shifa Hospital and Al-Ahli Arab Hospital are at risk of being out of service within 24 hours, which means the collapse of the remaining health institutions in Gaza.
It also added that Nasser Hospital operates within limited amount of fuel that do not exceed two days, stressing that the health authorities have not received any calls indicating the introduction of fuel and the strengthening of the work of generators.
It called on the concerned authorities for urgent action to pressure the Israeli occupation and allow the entry of fuel, spare parts and oils for generators in hospitals. (end)
