ISTANBUL, May 24 (KUNA) -- Kuwaiti Minister of Social Affairs, Family and Childhood Affairs Dr. Amthal Al-Huwailah on Saturday underlined the significance of promoting international dialogue on family issues.
The minister made the remark to KUNA while touring an exhibition held in Istanbul under the title: "All Happy Families Are Alike", along with Turkiye's first lady Emine Erdogan and ministers and officials from several countries.
Al-Huwailah spoke highly of Turkiye's pioneering role in family issues by means of hosting the recently concluded International Family Forum in Istanbul.
Voicing appreciation to the Turkish first lady, the Kuwaiti minister stressed the importance of the exhibition whose ideas reflect family values and highlight their role in strengthening humanitarian bonds and ensuring societal cohesion.
Organized under the theme "Safeguarding and Strengthening Family in the Face of Global Challenges, the two-day event brought together policymakers, experts and civil society representatives to explore the evolving role of the family and the threats it faces in modern society.
The forum is organized under the auspices of Turkiye's Family and Social Services Ministry as part of the country's 2025 Year of the Family initiative.
The event featured ministerial sessions and four panel discussions aiming at sharing expertise and successful international practices in the field of protecting families and promoting their social status. (end) ta.mt
