Sheikh Homoud Al-Sabah said that this celebration came in appreciation of the efforts and contributions of Kuwaiti women and to reinforce their role in building society, as they are an essential element in the country's development and progress.
He added that Kuwaiti women have held advanced positions regionally and internationally, participating in decision-making, and are now among the most powerful female figures in the world.
Sheikh Homoud Al-Sabah praised the efforts of the Kuwait Oil Company and "Fazaa Al-Dahiya" team for organizing this event and highlighting the contributions of Kuwaiti women.

For her part, Chief Executive Officer of Kuwait National Petroleum Company (KNPC), Wadha Al-Khateeb told KUNA that being honored on this occasion is not only a personal honor for her, but also a tribute to the contributions of Kuwaiti women working in the oil sector in general.
Al-Khatib said that the role of Kuwaiti women extends back to the pre-oil discovery period, as there is a long list of Kuwaiti women who have left a distinct mark on Kuwait and the region.
She said that the gains achieved by Kuwaiti women reflect the state's belief in the capabilities of its men and women, which has been effectively translated into providing all citizens with equal opportunities in education and career development, based primarily on ability and competence.
Head of "Fazza Al-Dahiya" team, Sara Al-Azmi, told KUNA that this celebration represents a golden opportunity to empower Kuwaiti women and highlight their active and pioneering role.
Al-Azmi explained that the celebration will include three sessions; National Identity, Life Balance, and Creating Generations.
