King of Jordan Abdullah II
AMMAN, March 22 (KUNA) -- King of Jordan Abdullah II on Saturday called on the international community to take immediate action to halt Israeli occupation's attacks on Gaza and to demand it to abide by the ceasefire.
The king made the call in a phone call with United Kingdom Prime Minister Keir Starmer on Saturday, the Jordanian Royal Court said in a press release.
He also called for resuming relief aid flow into the enclave to minimize further deterioration of the catastrophic humanitarian situation there, according to the release.
He restated his country's attempts to displace Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank, while cautioning against the perils of continued Israeli occupation attacks on Palestinians in the West Bank, along with desecration of Muslim and Christian holy sites in Jerusalem.
He reiterated Jordan's support for Syria's efforts to maintain its unity, sovereignty, and stability. (end)
