KUWAIT, March 12 (KUNA) -- Deputy Chairman of the Board and CEO of Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC) Sheikh Nawaf Saud Al-Nasser Al-Sabah headed the company's delegation in CERAWeek conference, which kicked off in Houston, Texas, on Monday.
In a statement on Wednesday, KPC said the conference, set to conclude on Friday, is attended by thousands of petroleum industries leaders, as well as decision-makers and experts from around the world, to discuss energy-related topics in the light of global economic changes.
In a discussion session chaired by head of the conference Daniel Yergin, Sheikh Nawaf Al-Sabah affirmed KPC's commitment to provide its clients with safe crude oil supplies and clean products.
Sheikh Nawaf Al-Sabah also underlined the prominent achievements of Kuwait's oil sector in exploration, development and production, especially in marine exploration.
He noted the need to find new solutions to support the corporation's efforts to face economic challenges, and support Kuwait to meet the global demand on crude oil and low-emission products.
Meanwhile, KPC's official for planning and finance Bader Al-Attar took part in a session on future demand for oil, where he presented the corporation's strategy in dealing with unstable prices through flexible planning and finding different markets.
He said that changes in demand and offer will not affect the growth of KPC, adding that demand for Kuwaiti oil will stay positive for decades, even during turning to alternative energy sources. (end) km.ag
