KUALA LUMPUR, March 9 (KUNA) -- Kuwait Ambassador to Bangladesh Ali Hamadah visited Interim Prime Minister Mohammad Yunus on Sunday to discuss the diplomatic relations and economic cooperation in several vital areas.
The talks focused on ways to promote cooperation in investment, trade, energy, food security and labor, according to a statement from Kuwait Embassy in Dhaka.
Both sides underscored commitment to strengthening the historical ties with a view to realizing development, and prosperity.
Ambassador Hamadah reaffirmed Kuwait's support to Bangladesh in its efforts to establish security and stability.
He invited the Kuwaiti investors to explore for promising investment opportunities in Bangladesh and take part in the investment summit, due in Dhaka on April 7-9, the statement noted.
On his part, the interim prime minister and the 2006 Nobel Peace Prize laureate commended the exemplary relations with Kuwait, saying they are based on mutual respect.
He expressed desire to expand cooperation in the trade and energy fields, the statement added. (end0
