EU considers "all the means" against M23 forces in DRC

BRUSSELS, Feb 15 (KUNA) -- The European Union (EU) stated Saturday it is urgently considering all available means at its disposal against M23 forces in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
EU Commission Spokesperson Anwar Al-Anouni said in a post on the social media platform X, "Alarmed by news of Rwandan backed M23 forces, seizing Kavumu airport and entering Bukavu, ignoring international calls for ceasefire." Al-Anouni warned that the ongoing violations of the territorial integrity of the Democratic Republic of Congo will not go unanswered, stressing that the EU is urgently considering all the means at its disposal.
Security and humanitarian sources said that M23 fighters and Rwandan troops entered the provincial capital of the Democratic Republic of Congo, Bukavu, on Friday. (end) arn.mt
