LONDON, Feb 10 (KUNA) -- The proceedings of the third edition of the Paris Action on Artificial Intelligence (AI) Summit commenced on Monday, at the Grand Palace in the French capital, Paris.
The summit features the participation of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah's representative, Minister of Trade and Industry and Minister of State for Communications Omar Al-Omar.
The summit aims to establish foundations, solutions, and scientific standards to promote sustainable and safe artificial intelligence that serves the public interest and harnesses AI's potential for the benefit of everyone while addressing various technological risks.
Co-chaired with India and attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the summit will continue until tomorrow, Tuesday, and serves as a leading platform for enhancing global discussions on AI, with around 1,500 participants.
The main discussion topics for the roundtable include "Cyberattacks and Information Security," "Artificial Intelligence and Sciences," and "The Future of Work."
On Sunday, nine countries, associations, and companies announced the initiative "Current AI... for Public Interest AI," with an initial investment of USD 400 million, supported by 11 leaders from the technology sector. (end)
