Kuwait reaffirms firm position in supporting Palestinians legitimate rights

KUWAIT, Feb 6 (KUNA) -- The State of Kuwait reaffirmed its firm principled position in supporting the brotherly Palestinian people, their just cause, and their legitimate right to establish their independent state on the borders of June 4, 1967, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
In a statement Thursday, the Foreign Ministry confirmed Kuwait's categorical rejection of Israeli settlement policies, annexation of Palestinian lands, and displacement of the Palestinian people from their land, as these steps constitute a flagrant violation of international law and relevant Security Council resolutions and a threat to the region security and stability.
It also went on calling on the international community to assume its responsibilities in providing protection for the Palestinian people and their inalienable rights and ending the Israeli occupation of the occupied Palestinian and Arab territories. (end) nma.aa
