CAIRO, Feb 5 (KUNA) -- Egypt stressed the importance of moving forward with early recovery projects and programs, removing rubble, and providing humanitarian aid at an accelerated pace without the Palestinians leaving the Gaza Strip.
This came during a meeting held by the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Immigration, Dr. Bader Abdelati, with the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Palestine, Dr. Mohammad Mustafa, said official spokesman for the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Tamim Khalaf in a statement Wednesday.
The spokesman added that Abdelati touched on Egypt's efforts aimed at ensuring the sustainability of the ceasefire agreement in Gaza and implementing all its provisions in its three time stages.
He also affirmed Egypt's support for the legitimate and inalienable rights of the Palestinian people, stressing the need to strive to reach a permanent and just political solution to the Palestinian issue through the two-state solution and the establishment of an independent Palestinian state on the lines of June 4, 1967, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
