Gaza Emergency Response Conf. calls for ending Israeli aggression

DEAD SEA, JORDAN, June 11 (KUNA) -- The Heads of Delegations issued a statement Tuesday at the conclusion of the "Gaza Emergency Humanitarian Response Conference," calling for ending the Israeli occupation aggression in Gaza, and establishing a permanent ceasefire, and ensuring the immediate and unconditional release of all hostages and detainees.
The statement highlighted the necessary conditions for the safe and dignified return of displaced Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.
It also encouraged providing support and sustained, transparent, and long-term funding to enable UNRWA to carry out its duties as mandated by the United Nations General Assembly.
The final statement addressed increasing diplomatic efforts to end the Israeli occupation of the Occupied Palestinian Territory, and lifting all punitive measures imposed on the Palestinian people.
The conference, hosted by Jordan at the Dead Sea, included the participation of the Representative of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdullah Al-Yahya. (end) amn.mmg.ahs
