JEDDAH, May 9 (KUNA) -- The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) on Thursday strongly condemned what it called a "barbaric" attack on the headquarters of the UN Palestinian refugee agency UNRWA in East Jerusalem, perpetrated by a group of Israeli settlers.
The attack is part of efforts to "undermine" the mission of the UN Palestinian aid agency, the Jeddah-based bloc said in a statement, lamenting the destruction of some 160 UNRWA properties, in addition to the killing of 188 members of the agency's staff.
The statement held Israeli occupation forces fully accountable for these "crimes," added the statement, urging the international community to intervene and provide the Palestinians with much needed protection. (end)
