GCC Chief: Qatar Economic, Cooperation Forum, great chance to establish ties

DOHA, April 30 (KUNA) -- The GCC's Secretary General Jassem Al-Budaiwi affirmed on Tuesday, that the preparatory meeting for the third Arab Economic and Cooperation Forum with Countries of Central Asia and Azerbaijan offers a great chance at establishing lasting relations between participating nations.
In a statement, Al-Budaiwi said that the two regions could form an economic conglomerate effective both regionally and globally, that would see an increase in trade exchange and investments in the energy and manufacturing sectors.
Al-Budaiwi praised Qatar's contribution to reinforcing international cooperation and communication through its initiative to host forums and conferences that aim to find creative and lasting solutions to improve economic cooperation and strengthen relations in other fields.
He also voiced his appreciation for the Arab League in organizing the preparatory meeting, which is held in Qatar. (end) sss.dm
