Kuwaiti Parliament Group meets with senior Slovenian officials

LJUBLJANA, Jan 23 (KUNA) -- The Fifth Kuwaiti Parliamentary Friendship Group began its meetings on Tuesday with Slovenia's senior officials on expanding bilateral cooperation in various fields between the two countries.
The Kuwaiti parliamentary delegation is led by MP Osama Al-Zaid and it inculdes MP's Shuaib Ali Shaaban, Hamad Abdul-Rahman Al-Olayan, and Abdul-Wahab Arif Al-Issa.
The delegation is scheduled to hold series of meetings with the Speaker of the Slovenian Parliament, Urska Klakochar, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Sanja Stiglic in addition with the Chair of the Economic Committee in the Slovenian Parliament, Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Slovenian Parliament.
The Kuwaiti parliamentary delegation visit to Slovenia is the fourth and within the framework of strengthening existing relations between Kuwaiti parliamentarians and their counterparts in Slovenia.
The meetings will also deal with developments in the Middle East, especially the continued Israeli aggression against the Palestinians and cutting off humanitarian aid.
Meanwhile, the Kuwaiti parliamentary delegation arrived at Ljubljana International Airport last Sunday and was received by the non-resident Ambassador of the State of Kuwait to Slovenia, Talal Al-Fassam, in addition to a number of staff from the Kuwaiti embassy in Vienna and representatives of the Slovenian Parliament.
The delegation is scheduled to leave for the Austrian capital, Vienna on a two-day official visit during which it will meet with senior officials in the government and the Austrian parliament. (end) amg.hs
