Magnitude 4 earthquake strikes central Turkiye

ANKARA, Jan 18 (KUNA) -- A moderate earthquake measuring four on the Richter scale hit Kayseri in Central Turkiye on Thursday, announced the country's emergency agency.
The tremor occurred at 09:05 local time and its epicenter was located in Yahyali district of Kayseri province in central Turkiye, said the Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency (AFAD) in a press statement.
No immediate reports of casualties or damage due to the quake, which occurred at a depth of 18.98 kilometer, it added. (end) aas.sm
