Iraq: 4 IS members die during raid in Diyala

BAGHDAD, Jan 7 (KUNA) -- Iraqi Security Media Cell (ISMC) on Sunday announced the death of four members of so-called the Islamic State (IS) during an air strike in Diyala governorate northeast Iraq.
The ISMC mentioned, in statement, based on confirmed information from the Iraqi Intelligence Service that an F16 aircraft targeted important IS hideouts in Baqubah village in Diyala.
They added that that the Iraqi forces checked the place after the raid and found four dead bodies of IS, including the body of one of their leaders Majid Maayouf.
The Iraqi forces' air strikes and storming operations continued targeting ISIS in the remote areas of governorates such as Diyala, Salah Al-Din and Al-Anbar. (end) ahh.ao
