KUWAIT, Aug 11 (KUNA) -- Kuwait's National Assembly Speaker Ahmad Al-Saadoun Friday sent two cables of condolences to President of the US Senate Kamala Harris and Speaker of House of Representatives Kevin McCarthy over Hawaii wildfire victims.
The wildfires in Hawaii State resulted in multiple victims and injuries, and destruction of public utilities and property.
US President Joe Biden announced Thursday a "major disaster" in the state in the wake of the wildfires engulfed Maui Island that killed and wounded dozens of people.
At least 36 people were killed and dozens wounded in the fires which also forced thousands to run away. (end)
