Israeli forces injure six Palestinians, arrest 19 others in West Bank

RAMALLAH, June 6 (KUNA) -- Six Palestinians were shot while 19 others arrested in the West Bank on Wednesday by Israeli forces.
In a statement released by the Palestinian Red Crescent Society, the six young men were shot in the lower limps. Five of them were hospitalized in Ariha while one in Ramallah.
According to local sources, Israeli forces were raiding and searching Palestinian homes when they were confronted by the young men, adding that the clash was violent as the Israeli forces used live ammo. Meanwhile, 19 Palestinians, according to Palestinian Prisoner's Society, were arrested. The majority of the arrests took place in the town of Ni'lin near Ramallah and Jenin while the rest were in Qalqila, Nablus, Tulkarm and Jerusalem. It also indicated that more than 3370 cases of arrests, mainly in Jerusalem, were made since last January. (end) nq.sa
