Iraqi forces kill four "IS" members, including leader in Baghdad

BAGHDAD, June 7 (KUNA) -- Baghdad Operations Commander, Lieutenant General Ahmed Salim on Wednesday announced the death of four terrorists from so-called Islamic State (IS/Daesh) including the self-proclaimed Wali of North Baghdad.
The Iraqi forces ambushed and killed the four terrorists in Tarmiya district, north of Baghdad, based on accurate intelligence, Salim said in a press statement.
Meanwhile, in recent months the Iraqi forces have strengthened their presence in Tarmiya district, due to a number of security breaches as well as targeting army forces by terrorist organization "Daesh".(end) ohh.hs
