MARRAKECH, Morocco, June 2 (KUNA) - Eight Kuwaiti entrepreneurs presented their innovative digital projects and apps in the first edition of Africa's GITEX which concluded in Morocco on Friday.
"Eight entrepreneurs represented Kuwait in this regional event with eight innovative and advanced digital projects," Director of the Sabah Al-Ahmad Center for Giftedness and Creativity Nada Al-Daihani told KUNA.
"Our participation was meant to show the Kuwaiti innovation, search for opportunities for expansion and introduce the Kuwaiti projects to investors," he added.
He noted that Kuwaiti entrepreneurs presence in such events allows them to get acquainted with the latest global innovations and trends as well as to learn about the latest developments in the world of modern technology.
For his part, Yousef Al-Hussaini, one of the participating Kuwaiti entrepreneurs and owner of the e-learning platform Baims, told KUNA that his app, which offers digital educational content, aims to make the learning tutorials and courses available to students anytime and anywhere.
He explained that he works in partnership with universities, schools, professors and engineers to develop the teaching and learning experience digitally by investing in modern technology.
He pointed out that his participation in the GITEX Africa exhibition was an opportunity to interact with a plethora of the regional entrepreneurs and see different innovations in this field.
Meanwhile, developer of the Motery application Abdullah Al-Ateeqi told KUNA that his app brings together everything related to cars in one place.
He stated that his participation in the (GITEX Africa) exhibition allowed him to communicate with other entrepreneurs and interested people from all over the world, which would contribute to the development of his project and its regional expansion.
For her part, Rawan Al-Atair, developer of the octopus AI app, uses artificial intelligence to carry out customer services on social media, told (KUNA) that "the idea of the app is to develop a unique AI technology specialized in customer service for all sectors".
GITEX Africa was held under the patronage of Moroccan King Mohammed VI, under the authority of the Moroccan Ministry of Digital Transition and Administration Reform and hosted by Digital Development Agency (ADD) during the period from May 31 to June 2.
It brought together 400+ global and pan-African government and private sector leaders, policy makers, technology and finance executives, investors and academics unified towards Africa's transformation into a single digital market. (end) mrn.ibi
