First Arab Cup of Ice Hockey kicks off in Kuwait Sun.

KUWAIT, May 6 (KUNA) -- The first edition of the Arab Cup of Ice Hockey for men will kick off in Kuwait on Sunday, with the participation of eight teams.
Kuwait's team will face Tunisia in the first match to be held in Kuwait Winter Games Club, while Bahrain will play against Algeria, as part of Group A.
Group B will see Saudi Arabia against Lebanon and Egypt against Oman. The winner of the first and second place in each group will qualify to the semi-finals.
In a press statement on Saturday, deputy chairman of the club Khaled Al-Mutairi said that all participating teams have already arrived and will be training at the club today to prepare for the tournament.
He added that the organizing committee headed by the club's president Fuhaid Al-Ajmi had completed all preparations for the first Arab ice hockey gathering on national teams level. (end) fsa.tab.ag
