ANKARA, March 26 (KUNA) -- The Supreme Election Commission has endorsed nominations of the incumbent president Recep Tayyip Erdogan and his challenger, Kemal Kilicdaroglu, the leader of the Republican People's Party (CHP) and joint candidate of the opposition People's Bloc.
The official news agency Anadolu reported on Sunday that the commission examined the candidacy applications forwarded by the political parties. It declared that the required documents delivered by the two candidates were sufficient.
The elections are scheduled on May 14. (end)
