KUWAIT, March 21 (KUNA) --

1998 -- Kuwait Ports Authority offered storage facilities for investors in neighboring countries with aim of increasing trade exchange between Kuwait and neighboring nations.
2000 -- Kuwait National Assembly approved a bill setting April 1st as start of fiscal year instead of July 1. The change allowed the government to thoroughly examine budget before summer recess of parliament.
2004 -- Kuwait Amir Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah signed a decree establishing a voluntary center affiliated with the government.
2012 -- Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC) launched the first digital library specialized in oil and related industries, considered the first in the Middle East.
2018 -- Kuwait Ministry of Interior said the Guinness World Record recognized Captain Mohammar Burbayye' for winning 21 gold medals from the International Aquabikes Federation in competitions in 11 years.
2021 -- Kuwait's General Administration of Customs launched the electronic tracking service for packages and goods from the Nuwaisib and Salmi border crossing and until arrival in Al-Sulaibia crossing.
2021 -- Kuwait's Communication and Information Technology Regulatory Authority (CITRA), in partnership with Virgin Mobile, launched the Mobile Virtual Network Operator (MVNO) service offered through the STC Kuwait. (end) gta
