Kuwait Airways, Malaysia Airlines sign cooperation deal

KUWAIT, March 20 (KUNA) -- Kuwait Airways and Malaysia Airlines signed on Monday a deal to boost cooperation in air transport starting next April.
In a statement to the press, CEO of Kuwait Airways Maen Razouqi said that this was the first deal of its kind between the two companies, which would lead to further deals down the line.
He indicated that the partnership would hopefully expand Kuwait Airways destinations through Malaysia Airlines headquarters in Kuala Lumpur to include cities such as Sydney, Melbourne, and Perth in Australia, Auckland in New Zealand, Seoul in Korea, Tokyo in Japan, Taipei in Taiwan, and others.
In return, Kuwait Airways will operate Malaysia Airlines destinations in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA), and the GCC regions. (end) md.gta
