Kuwait parliament adjourns session due to lack of quorum

KUWAIT, Feb 21 (KUNA) -- Kuwait's National Assembly (parliament) Speaker Ahmad Al-Saadoun on Tuesday adjourned the assembly's ordinary session due to lack of quorum and government absence.
Al-Saadoun said that the ordinary session was cancelled owing to lack of quorum, adding that he had received a message from the government arguing that against the backdrop of an Amiri decree on January 26 accepting the government's resignation, it would attend neither today's ordinary session not tomorrow's supplementary one.
Accordingly, the speaker said, the parliament session was postponed to March 7-8. (end) aa.mt
