ISTANBUL, Feb 6 (KUNA) -- Casualties in the 7.4-magnitude earthquake, which hit the Pazarcik town in the southern province of Kahramanmaras, went up to 76 deaths and 440 injuries thus far, said Turkiye's Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD) on Monday.
According to the Anadolu Agency (AA), the AFAD is currently now in session with the foreign ministry, discussing the alarming situation.
The authority urged the world to contribute to the rescue and search missions currently underway.
The AFAD revealed that the earthquake, which struck earlier today, was followed by 32 aftershocks. (pickup previous)
