Magnitude 5.9 quake jolts NW Iran

TEHRAN, Jan 28 (KUNA) -- An earthquake measuring 5.9 degrees, Richter Scale, struck Khoy city in West Azerbaijan province, northwest Iran, at 9:44 pm, local time (6:15 pm GMT) on Saturday.
Residents in nearby cities felt the quake, which also affected neighboring Turkiye, the seismological center of Tehran University noted.
Khoy has hit by a magnitude 5.4 quake 10 days ago which damaged some homes. (end) mw.rg.gb
